FreedomPop Offers New SIM With Unlimited WhatsApp Usage, 200MB Free Data + 100 Free Voice Minutes

FreedomPop Offers New SIM With Unlimited WhatsApp Usage, 200MB Free Data + 100 Free Voice Minutes

If you’re looking to save some money on your cell phone bill, make only occasional calls, and are a light data user other than being a heavy WhatsApp user, FreedomPop has a deal for you! The independent free/low-cost carrier is offering a new WhatsApp SIM that offers unlimited access to the popular messaging app, as well as 100 free voice minutes and 200MB free data every month.

“There really is no reason anyone should have to pay for voice and text in today’s environment. Over-the-top communication services like WhatsApp have eliminated the need for traditional voice and text services that carriers still force U.S. users to pay hundreds of dollars a year for,” said Chris Chen, FreedomPop’s SVP Product. “The zero-rated model is gaining traction in more developing countries, and FreedomPop is leading the way here in the U.S.”

FreedomPop has long been trying to shake up the wireless business by offering SIMS for those who already own smartphones to access the FreedomPop service, where they offer free and low-cost data and voice services. One of their more popular plans offers 500 texts, 200 minutes, and 500MB each month starting at $10.

The new WhatsApp SIM will work in over 30 countries via the carrier’s various partners. Its international voice and data services are available to users in the U.S., U.K., Germany, France, Portugal and Italy and a number of other countries across Europe and Southeast Asia.

Interested parties can check for availability in their area, and sign-up at the FreedomPop website.
