iTunes Connect Update Makes it Easier for Developers to Upload App Screenshots

Apple has fulfilled a promise made to developers at WWDC 2016 in June, as it has posted an update to its developer website which makes it much easier for developers to upload screenshots via iTunes Connect.

Now it’s easier than ever to deliver your screenshots and app preview using iTunes Connect. Submit just one set of screenshots and one optional app preview per device family, and they will be used across device sizes and localizations.

If your app’s UI or behavior changes based on device size, or if you would like to include localized screenshots, you can use the new Media Manager to add custom screenshots. Learn more by watching What’s New in iTunes Connect from WWDC16.

The change allows developers to upload just one set of screenshots and one optional app preview per device family. Previously, developers would be required to upload screenshots for each iOS device size variant. However, if an app’s user interface or other behavior is different on a device, or based on location, custom screen shots can still be uploaded via the new iTunes Connect Media Manager.
