iOS 10.2.1 Update

iOS 10 users can download and install the free update as an over-the-air download directly to their devices. The update can also be downloaded and installed to iOS devices via iTunes on a Mac or PC computer.

During the beta testing process for iOS 10.2.1, no outward changes or new features were discovered, indicating the update focuses on behind the scenes bug fixes and performance improvements.

Earlier this month, tech blogger Sonny Dickson claimed Apple would soon release an iOS 10.3 beta which would feature a special “Theater Mode” for iOS devices. Dickson claimed the new mode will be accessible via a “popcorn-shaped” icon in the Control Center. So far we haven’t seen such a beta, but with the release of iOS 10.2.1 to the public, we should soon see a new beta seed for developers and public beta testers. We’ll see what the new beta seed offers when it’s released.

If we notice any other changes or improvements in today’s general release, we’ll report it to you right here.
