How the Apple Support App Works

The app is linked to the user’s iCloud account, so in most cases it knows which Apple devices you own, and provides support information for each device. This saves time for the customer, as they won’t have to search for and manually enter the information about their device or Mac computer.

The app allows users to chat directly with Apple Service experts, and view support case history as well. In addition, the app offers a number of how-to articles, featuring information such as how to back up your iOS device, how to take and edit photos on your device, and more.

Apple soft-launched the app in the Netherlands back in November, followed by a December launch in the U.S.
