Apple’s BeatsX Wireless Earphones Now Available

Apple’s BeatsX wireless earphones are now available for purchase (and in most cases, in-store pickup) on Apple.com. The new earphones are powered by Apple’s custom W1 chip, making it a breeze to pair them with compatible Apple products.

Apple's BeatsX Wireless Earphones Now Available

Apple’s website is showing a February 14-15 shipping estimate for black and white models of the headphones, while the newly-announced gray and blue colors show a delivery window of February 22-28. In-store availability is good for the black and white models, while the blue and gray options show as unavailable for in-store pickup. (As could be expected.)

Best Buy shows limited in-store availability for black & white BeatsX headphones, with no shipping estimate specified, while the blue and the gray sets offer a February 22 shipping estimate, and simply “not available” for in-store pickup.

BeatsX earbuds are powered by Apple’s custom W1 chip, which allows iPhone users to quickly and easily connect the earbuds to their device, simply by powering them on and holding them near an iPhone. Apple’s AirPods also boast the same connectivity, although they are completely wireless, while the Beats-branded earpods are connected to each other by a flex-form cable.

Three Free Months of Apple Music With Purchase

The BeatsX release offers the most affordable option for customers looking for W1-equipped headphones from Apple. At $150, BeatsX beats the price of the AirPods, PowerBeats3 and Beats Solo3 headphones. In addition, BeatsX buyers will find a code inside the box, giving them three free months of Apple Music.
