Apple Releases iOS 11.1.2 – Update Includes Fix For Unresponsive iPhone X Display in Cold Temperatures

Apple on Thursday released iOS 11.1.2, an update to its iOS 11 mobile operating system. The update fixes an issue affecting the iPhone X, which saw the device become temporarily unresponsive to touch when exposed to cold. The release, the seventh since the release of iOS 11, comes one week following the iOS 11.1.1 update.

iOS 11.1.2 includes bug fixes for your iPhone and iPad. This update:
– Fixes an issue where the iPhone X screen becomes temporarily unresponsive to touch after a rapid temperature drop
– Addresses an issue that could cause distortion in Live Photos and videos captured with iPhone X
– Fixes an issue that could cause your device to restart after receiving a long notification in Arabic

The update can be downloaded and installed for free on eligible device by going to “Settings” -> “General” -> “Software Update.”

iOS 11.2 is currently in beta, and debuts faster 7.5 watt wireless charging for iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X handsets. It also debuts Apple Pay Cash, which allows fast person-to-person money transfers via the Messages app.
