Apple is expected to introduce a new lower-priced entry-level iPad that boast educational software for use by students and teachers. The company may also announce an update their existing Classroom app to debut alongside a rumored ClassKit framework that will allow developers to create activities for students that can be assigned to them by teachers.

Some observers expect Apple to also debut a lower-prices MacBook, possibly a new MacBook Air, that could sell for as low as $799 to $899. However, a recent report indicates the new notebook might not be ready for today’s event.
