Apple’s AirPods will gain use of the iOS Live Listen feature, that helps folks that have a hard time hearing conversations in loud environments.
Back in 2014, Apple debuted the Live Listen Feature which allows the iPhone to pair with MFi hearing aids and then serve as a remote directional microphone to send the audio from the iPhone to the hearing aids.
With the release of iOS 12, Live Listen will work with the AirPods in a similar manner, allowing the sound to be beamed to the AirPods.
While the feature is not in any way intended as a replacement for a traditional set of hearing aids, it will come in handy for those situations where folks have trouble hearing or separating voices while in a crowded, noisy environment, such as in restaurants.
