iOS 13 to Bring New Animoji Characters to Messages App

You may have noticed that iOS 13 rumors are gearing up. That’s because the new mobile operating system will debut at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference 2019 in June. This is likely to interest many of our readers, new Animoji characters will debut along side iOS 13.

Well-known developer Steve Troughton-Smith says we can expect a group of new characters for use in iOS 13’s Messages app. New characters are said to include a cow, octopus, mouse, and even an emoji face.

Animoji are animated emoji characters that use the Face ID camera system on the latest iPhones and iPad Pro models to allow users to mix their own facial expressions with the characters. The Animoji smile when you do, frown when you do, and stick their tongue out when you do.

While this is certainly not the biggest iOS 13 related news, it is sure to be a welcome addition to users like my wife, as she absolutely loves the Animoji feature.

iOS 13 is expected to bring a slew of new features to the iPhone and iPad, including a system-wide Dark Mode, a new volume indicator, better iPad multitasking third-party app Siri integration, improved augmented reality, and much more.
