As expected, Apple’s totally wireless Powerbeats Pro earbuds are now available for pre-order in the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. The pre-order period comes almost a month after the Beats audio accessory became available in the United States.
The Powerbeats Pro have been available for pre-order in the black color option since May 3 in the United States and Canada. Deliveries began arriving on May 10. The online Apple Stores for the U.K., France, and Germany all now include pages for the Powerbeats Pro as a pre-order with a week-long lead on delivery.
The fine print on the Beats websites in other regions says Powerbeats Pro will be available in Australia, Singapore, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Korea, Austria, Italy, Spain, Ireland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Russia, Switzerland, Sweden, Mexico, and Brazil in June.
Other color options (ivory, moss, and navy colors) will become available this summer in the United States and Canada, and most of the countries listed above, Apple does warn that color availability is subject to change.
The new Powerbeats Pro are water and sweat resistant, and include earhooks and tips in four sizes to keep the earphones in place during workouts. Apple says Powerbeats Pro are 23% smaller and 17% lighter than the Powerbeats 3.
The Powerbeats Pro boast many of the same features as APple’s popular AirPods 2, including the H1 chip that allows quick connectivity to an iPhone and simple switching between devices. The new Beats headsets also include a dedicated charging case, but lacking the wireless charging option available with the AirPods 2.
