New Image Said to Show Off iOS 13 ‘Dark Mode’ and New Reminders App

A new image which allegedly shows off iOS 13’s much-rumored “Dark Mode” had been posted on Twitter, mere hours ahead of iOS 13’s debut at WWDC 2019. The screenshot also purports to show off the new Reminders app.

An image posted to Twitter early Monday morning by Ben Geskin claims to show an iPhone running iOS 13 in dark mode, in the screenshot, the new Reminders app is open.

Dark Mode has long been rumored to be a part of the upcoming iOS 13 update, which is expected to debut at today’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC 2019). The Dark Mode makes most iOS screen elements much darker, with text elements being displayed in lighter colors or in white.

The Reminders app screenshot shows four quadrants labeled Today, Scheduled, All, and Flagged, along with counters for each area. A search box sits at the top of the screen, while a “My Lists” section sits below the reminders quadrants.

As is usual, we won’t know the veracity of the screenshot for sure until today’s WWDC 2019 keynote, which is expected to kickoff at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time.

Apple will make a livestream of the WWDC 2019 keynote available both on its website and via the Events app on the Apple TV. If you can’t watch the action, we’ll be live tweeting highlights on the MacTrast Twitter account. We’ll also provide a complete wrap-up of the action following the keynote, and will also provide coverage during the week.
