Say Goodbye to Dashboard in macOS 10.15 Catalina

I’ll admit, I’ve used Dashboard in macOS all of 10 times in the 11 years I’ve been a Mac user. But, I’m sure many Mac users will be disappointed when I tell them that the customizable widget interface didn’t make the move to macOS 10.15 Catalina.

Dashboard, which first debuted alongside OS X 10.4 Tiger, was originally a marquee feature on the Mac, offering sticky notes, a weather widget, calculator, and many customizable widgets on the Mac desktop.

The feature slowly began sunsetting in macOS 10.10 Yosemite, as it was disabled by default, eventually transitioning to its current state in Mojave, where users need to dig deep to enable it, by adding it to the Dock or enabling it as part of Mission Control.

Appleosophy first noticed the feature is totally unavailable in macOS 10.15 Catalina, there is no sign of it anywhere in the new OS, so it’s time to wave goodbye.
