Some German iPhone and HomePod Users Already Seeing Siri Live Radio Feature Working Ahead of iOS 13 Public Release

During the WWDC 2019 keynote, Apple announced iOS 13 would include live radio requests from apps, including iHeartRadio, Radio.com, and TuneIn. Some German iOS 12 users are reporting they’re seeing the feature now, ahead of the iOS 13 release.

Macerkopf.de morning reports some iOS 12 users in Germany are having success in asking Siri to play live national radio stations on HomePods running the latest public version of its software. and via Apple Music on devices running iOS 12.

It’s not clear as to why the feature has been enabled ahead of the iOS 13 release, or how far Apple has come in laying the groundwork for Siri requests.

Apple says the official rollout will kickoff in the fall, with Apple device owners being able to select from over 100,000 radio stations.
