Spotify Stations App for iPhone Adds CarPlay Support

Spotify recently updated its  Spotify Stations app for iOS devices to add CarPlay support. The update allows users to control playback directly from their vehicle’s CarPlay-capable infotainment center’s screen instead of their iPhone.

The Spotify Station’s CarPlay interface is kept to the basics, offering a list of stations for users to choose from. The CarPlay update was first spotted by a Reddit user.

The Spotify Stations app launched in the United States last month, offering a radio-like listening experience. The app provides a list of radio stations featuring a user’s favorite artists.

With the world’s music at your fingertips, finding the right thing to play can feel like a challenge. Stations gets you to music instantly—no searching or typing needed. As Stations learns more about what you like, it creates stations packed with the music you love, made just for you.

The app, which Spotify describes as an “experiment,” is designed to compete with Pandora. The Spotify version is designed to provide a more personalized experience, at least for users that use Spotify for their on-demand listening pleasure.

The Spotify Stations app is free and is available in the App Store in the United States and Australia. [GET IT HERE]
