While there has been equal bits of speculation and mixed information about the amount of RAM in the new 2019 iPhone lineup, as well as what’s inside the new Apple Watch Series 5, developers are getting a true peek into the innards of the devices, thanks to Xcode and via regulatory filings in China.
Developer Steve Troughton-Smith announced via Twitter this morning that the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max sport 4GB of RAM.

That means the amount of RAM in the iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max is identical to the amount of RAM available in the previous-generation iPhone XS and XS Max. The iPhone 11’s RAM is a 1GB bump up from the amount of RAM in the iPhone XR.
In another tweet, Troughton-Smith confirmed that the S5 processor in the Apple Watch Series 5 is identical to the S4 processor used in the Apple Watch Series 4, with no performance improvements.

The revelation isn’t exactly a surprise, as Apple didn’t mention any changes to the chip when it unveiled the Series 5 at its September 10 event. The only apparent changes besides the new alway-on display is the new compass feature and 32GB of storage.
Troughton-Smith’s Xcode exploration has also uncovered information about the updated 10.2-inch 7th-generation iPad, which contains 3GB RAM, up from 2GB in the previous-generation device.
