iPadOS 13.2 Beta 2 Bricking Some 2018 iPad Pro Models, Apple Pulls Update

Following the release of the second beta of  iPadOS 13.2, some 2018 iPad Pro owners are reporting the update failed to install properly, bricking their devices and requiring a full restore.

MacRumors reports some iPad Pro owners affected by the issue report that even a restore from DFU mode failed to fix the problem.

At least one 11-inch iPad Pro owner says his update failed He tried putting it into DFU mode (press volume up, volume down, then hold power for 5 or so seconds) then plugging it into iTunes via cable to restore. He says the process failed, giving him an error when he tried it. He’ll be taking it to his local Apple store to have it fixed.

Apple has appeared to have pulled the beta for the iPad Pro, as attempting to install the update produces an error message that the update is unable to be verified due to the lack of an internet connection, even though the connection is working.

Apple is likely working on a fix for the issue, but for now, iPad owners should avoid the iPadOS 13.2 update.
