U.S. residents may be full of turkey on Thanksgiving Day, but if they can drag themselves out of their easy chairs they can earn a special Apple Watch Thanksgiving Day Activity Challenge badge.
Apple Watch users can complete a 5-kilometer walk, run, or wheelchair workout to earn the activity challenge badge. The return of the Thanksgiving Day challenge was first mentioned by Kyle Seth Gray, who posted the information on Twitter.
Keep active this Thanksgiving! Earn this special award on November 28 by doing any walk, run, or wheelchair workout of at least 5K (3.1mi). #AppleWatch. #CloseYourRings #Thanksgiving2019 pic.twitter.com/K4xf7NSeSc

The award has become a tradition from Apple, as it began the popular challenge back in 2016, repeating it in 2017, but for reasons unknown, skipping it last year. The award badge design features stylized turkey feathers and text designating it a 5K accomplishment.
The challenge is just the latest in a series of Apple Watch activity challenges held throughout the year to mark holidays, special occasions, holidays, and other happenings.
