Apple Revamps Apple Music for Artists Icon – Does it Tip Off Apple’s iOS 15 Design Language?

Apple on Monday updated its Apple Music for Artists app with some minor bug fixes and improvements, plus a new icon.

The new Apple Music for Artists app icon is a simpler, streamlined icon with an embossed look, featuring a pinkish-red music logo in place of the multicolored logo that had been in place.

Apple Music for Artists is an app that allows artists to monitor how their music is performing across ‌Apple Music‌, iTunes, and Shazam.

Apple performed a similar update to the App Store Connect app icon back in October. Reddit users are speculating that the change of the two icons could be an indicator as to design changes Apple may have in store for iOS 15.

Apple has a history of updating the look and feel of icons in its operating system updates. Most recently, Apple refreshed and streamlined many of the icons in macOS Big Sur. However, we won’t know for sure what plans Apple has for any possible iOS 15 icon updates until Apple holds its keynote event at WWDC 21, which will be held June 7.
