First Betas of iOS 14.7, iPadOS 14.7, tvOS 14.7, watchOS 7.6 and macOS Big Sur 11.5 Have Been Seeded to Developers

First Betas of iOS 14.7, iPadOS 14.7, tvOS 14.7, watchOS 7.6 and macOS Big Sur 11.5 Have Been Seeded to Developers

Although the public releases of iOS 14.6, iPadOS 14.6, tvOS 14.6, watchOS 7.5, and macOS Big Sur 11.4 have not yet taken place, Apple has already seeded the first developer betas of iOS 14.7, iPadOS 14.7, tvOS 14.7, watchOS 7.6, and ‌macOS Big Sur‌ 11.5. (Man, that was a lot of decimal points!)

Beta builds of iOS 14.7 and iPadOS 14.7 are available to developers through the Apple Developer Center or over the air on the devices with the proper configuration installed. The developer build of macOS Big Sur‌ 11.5 can be downloaded through the Apple Developer Center and once the correct profile is installed, succeeding betas will be available through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences.

The tvOS 14.7 beta is compatible with fourth and fifth-generation Apple TV models. The new beta can be downloaded to a compatible Apple TV that has the proper profile installed.

The watchOS 7.6beta can be installed on an Apple Watch with the proper configuration profile installed, via the Watch app on the device’s attached iPhone. Go to “General” -> “Software Update” to install the new software. The Watch should have at least 50% battery life, be connected to a charger, and be in the range of the iPhone.

watchOS 7.6 is compatible with Apple Watch Series 3, Apple Watch Series 4, Apple Watch Series 5, or Apple Watch Series 6 paired with an iPhone 6s or later running iOS 14 or later.

At the time of this article, we don’t know for sure what’s new in the software updates, but we’ll post an update in this post if we hear anything.

As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, or Apple Watch, instead only install betas on a device set aside for testing purposes.
