Reese Witherspoon’s ‘Hello Sunshine’ Media Company May be Purchased by Apple

The Wall Street Journal. reports the Apple is mulling a purchase of Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine media firm. Hello Sunshine produces several Apple TV+ series, including the Jennifer Aniston star vehicle, “The Morning Show,” “Surface” starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw, “The Last Thing He Told Me” with Julia Roberts, and country music reality series “My Kind of Country.”

Hello Sunshine has reportedly been up for sale in the last couple of months and several interested buyers have been showing interest. Thanks to the media company’s success with “The Morning Show,” “Big Little Lies,” and other series, Hello Sunshine could be valued at as much as $1 billion.

The production company is working with investment bankers to explore its options, and there is no guarantee that it will be sold, nor that Apple will purchase it.

If Apple successfully purchases Hello Sunshine, it could likely be brought into the Apple Studios fold. Apple Studios already produces Apple TV+ shows, producing “Snow Blind” with Jake Gyllenhaal, “Killers of the Flower Moon” with Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio, and many other productions.
