Satechi has announced its USB-C Clamp Hub for the 24-inch iMac. The six-port hub fastens to the bottom of the iMac using an adjustable knob and allows access to USB-A ports from the front of your 24-inch iMac. A short integrated USB-C cable connects the hub via one of the available ports.
The hub is designed exclusively for use with the 24-inch iMac and boasts a simple silver-aluminum finish. The hub is designed to provide easy access to three USB-A ports, a USB-C port, and micro/SD card reader slots for five ports in total.
All of the USB ports deliver up to 5Gbps data transfer speeds but don’t support video pass-through or charging. The USB-A ports also cannot be used with the Super Drive or similar external drives.
Satechi’s new USB-C Clamp Hub is available now for pre-order in silver for $54.99 at Satechi.net. Customers can score 15% off pre-orders with code “IMAC15” from now until fully in-stock in mid-September.
The USB-C Clamp Hub will also be available in a blue colorway starting October 2021.
