Google One VPN Service Now Available for iPhone and iPad Users

Google today announced that its Google One VPN service is now available on the iPhone and iPad. Google had promised to bring the VPN to Apple devices around a year and a half ago.

The VPN will be available to Google One members on Premium plans (2 TB and higher) through the Google One app on iOS. Plus, members can share their plan and the VPN with up to five family members at no extra cost, so they can all use the VPN, no matter whether they’re using an Android or iOS phone. Google One Premium is priced at $9.99 per month or $99.99 per year.

The service allows users to stream, download, and browse content on an encrypted connection, offering protection on public WiFi networks and cellular connections. VPNs also hide your device’s IP addresses, preventing websites from tracking your location for advertising and other purposes.

Google previously only offered a VPN service to its iPhone subscribers to its Google Fi cellular service. However, today’s announcement also makes the service available to other iPhone and iPad users.

Google One VPN is available in 18 countries:

  • Belgium
