Alleged ‘Ming-Chi Kuo’ Twitter Account Claims New Insights into Third-Generation iPhone SE

A Twitter account claiming to be owned by well-known Apple industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has shared new “predictions” about the much-rumored third-generation iPhone SE.

While the tweet repeats information from previous rumors, the tweet also mentions several new details.

Some predictions for the coming new iPhone SE:

  1. Mass production in Mar’22.
  2. Estimated shipments of 25-30 mn units in 2022.
  3. Storage: 64/128/256GB.
  4. A15 & 5G support (mmW & Sub-6 GHz).
  5. Casing: white, black, and red.
  6. Similar form factor design to current SE.

Kuo is an industry analyst with TF International Securities and has often provided informative insights into Apple’s plans for the new lower-priced handset. Kuo traditionally shares his insights in investor notes, never sharing the information via Twitter. So far, it hasn’t been verified that the @mingchikuo account belongs to Ming-Chi Kuo, so these “predictions” should be taken with the proverbial grain of salt-free seasoning.

‌Apple is expected to unveil its third-generation iPhone SE at its upcoming “Peek Performance” event on March 8.
