Apple Revoking Mask Requirements for Corporate and Retail Employees in US

Apple will soon drop its mask requirements for its corporate and retail employees in the United States, thanks to a decline of new COVID-19 cases and the resulting relaxing of local mandates across the country, reports Bloomberg.

Masks are now optional for vaccinated corporate employees in regions where local indoor mask mandates have ended. Retail employees staffing a small number of locations have been told that masks will be optional starting on Friday. Apple will continue to expand the mask requirement revoking as more regions do away with their mask mandates. Apple will make masks optional at additional locations.

While masks are optional for customers and employees in many locations, Apple is still recommending the use of masks and will provide masks upon request.

Apple in February ceased requiring customers to wear masks in multiple US Apple Store locations where mask regulations eased, and today announced the return of “Today at Apple” classes.

Apple has yet to inform corporate employees as to when they may have to return to the office, but when they finally do, they apparently won’t be required to wear a mask.
