Bloomberg’s Gurman: iOS 16 to Bring ‘Fresh Apple Apps,’ New Ways to Interact With System

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has released the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, and he says Apple’s upcoming iOS 16 mobile operating system will boast new ways of interacting with the system, as well as “fresh Apple apps,”

“Major changes across the system” will be introduced, according to Mark Gurman in his newsletter. The changes will include “new ways of interacting and some fresh Apple apps,” but Gurman stops short of saying what features will actually change.

While I don’t expect Apple to present a full redesign of the software, there should be major changes across the system, new ways of interacting and some fresh Apple apps. The news about watchOS 9 will be significant as well.

While many users have longed for interactive widgets on iOS since the widgets were redesigned in iOS 14. Gurman appears to indicate iOS 16 could bring significant changes in the widgets system.

Gurman also noted that watchOS 9 will be a “significant” update. Gurman has previously said that iOS 16 will feature a revamped notification system, as well as new health and fitness features.
