Report: Apple to Launch MacBook Air With M2 Chip on July 15

Apple’s newly-redesigned MacBook Air, powered by the company’s all-new M2 chip, will be available for customers starting Friday, July 15, says a report by MacRumors.

Apple unveiled the new MacBook Air during the WWDC 2022 keynote address earlier this month. Apple said at the time that availability would begin in July.

The new MacBook Air boasts an all-new thin design and improved performance. The new MacBook Air also sports a larger 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display, a 1080p FaceTime HD camera, a four-speaker sound system, up to 18 hours of battery life, and MagSafe charging.  It is available in four finishes — silver, space gray, midnight, and starlight.

With a launch planned for July 15, pre-orders can be expected to go live on Friday, July 8.

The all-new MacBook Air and updated 13-inch MacBook Pro will be available on apple.com/store and in the Apple Store app.

MacBook Air with M2 starts at $1,199 (US) and $1,099 (US) for education. Additional technical specifications are available at apple.com/macbook-air-m2.
