Apple Announces Sales Tax Holiday-Eligible Products

Apple has announced which of its products are eligible for upcoming sales tax holidays in designated U.S. states, including Arkansas, Florida, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Mexico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Customers benefit from sales tax holidays, as it provides an opportunity to purchase certain Apple products – whether in-store or online – without paying sales tax. Eligible products and price limits vary from state to state, with complete details outlined on Apple’s website.

Depending on the state, eligible Apple products may include Macs, iPads, iPhones, and accessories or peripherals like the Apple Pencil and Studio Display. Tax savings may not appear during checkout, but will be reflected on the final receipt.

Sales tax holidays will be held in the following states for the designated periods of time:

In addition to the sales tax holidays, students can also benefit from Apple’s Back to School promotion.

The promo offers a free Apple gift card with the purchase of an eligible iPad or Mac. Apple is also offering students 20% off AppleCare+ plans during the promotion. Apple last year offered free AirPods with a qualifying purpose.

This year, Apple is offering a $150 gift card with the purchase of any new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, or 24-inch iMac model, and a $100 gift card with the purchase of any new iPad Pro or fifth-generation iPad Air model. The full terms and conditions are available for your reading pleasure on Apple’s website.

The gift cards can be used in the Apple Store or the App Store, as well as for subscriptions to services like Apple Music, iCloud+ storage, and more.
