Improved Apple Maps Experience Rolls Out to France, Monaco, and New Zealand

Improved Apple Maps Experience Rolls Out to France, Monaco, and New Zealand

The improved Apple Maps experience has rolled out to three new countries – France, Monaco, and New Zealand. Apple Maps tracker Justin O’Beirne shared the news this week.

The updated Apple Maps experience offers faster and more accurate navigation, improved imagery with three-dimensional landmarks and locations, and detailed views of roads, shopping malls, and more.

Apple first announced that it was remapping its Maps data with the launch of iOS 12 back in 2018. The first area to be remapped was San Francisco and the Bay Area, before expanding to Northern California.

Apple completed the remapping of the USA in 2020, and since then has added 15 new countries and territories.

O’Beirne also notes that cycling directions for ‌Apple Maps‌ now cover 49 states. A full list of Apple Maps features and their availability is available on the Apple website. However, the latest locations have yet to be added.
