Apple Seeds Eighth Public Beta of macOS 13 Ventura for Testing

Apple on Wednesday seeded the eighth public beta of macOS 13 Ventura to public beta testers. The tenth developer beta was released earlier this week.

Registered Public Beta Testers can download and install the macOS 13 Ventura public betas through the Software Update mechanism in System Preferences after installing the proper profile.

Mac users who want to be a part of Apple’s beta testing program can sign up to participate on the Apple Beta Software Program website, which gives users access to iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS betas.

The new macOS operating system – which is named after a location in California, not a classic Pontiac – brings plenty of new features along for the ride.

macOS Ventura is compatible with the following Mac models:

  • iMac 2017 and later
  • Mac Pro 2019 and later
  • iMac Pro 2017
  • Mac mini 2018 and later
  • MacBook Air 2018 and later
  • MacBook 2017 and later
  • MacBook Pro 2017 and later

As usual, MacTrast and Apple both warn users to not install any betas on their daily driver Mac, instead only installing betas on devices set aside for testing purposes.
