Apple Maps ‘Look Around’ Feature Expands to Finland, Norway, and Sweden

Apple Maps ‘Look Around’ Feature Expands to Finland, Norway, and Sweden

Apple has announced that it is expanding its revamped Maps app to new countries. As of today, users in Finland, Norway and Sweden will have access to the new Maps app.

New features in the Maps app include the ability to more easily plan trips thanks to faster and more accurate navigation, a better overview of roads, buildings, parks, airports and shopping centers, and landmarks such as Olofsborg in Finland, Akershus fortress in Norway and Palmhuset in Sweden in 3D.

Look Around, which was first introduced in iOS 13, is also expanding to all of the above countries starting today. Look Around provides 3D street-level imagery in cities where it is available, and works similarly to Google’s Street View.

Apple has been slowly expanding its new maps data since September 2018. It has so far expanded to the U.K., Ireland, Canada, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, France, Germany, and select other countries and territories.
