Apple to Host National Parks Apple Watch Activity Challenge on August 26

Apple’s National Parks activity challenge will be held on Saturday, August 26, celebrating national parks across the United States.

Apple Watch owners who hike, walk, run, or do a wheelchair workout that lasts for at least 20 minutes will earn a special 2023 National Parks award.

Let’s get out and celebrate national parks everywhere. On August 26, earn this award by recording a workout of 20 minutes or more with any app that adds workouts to Health.

As is traditional for Activity Challenges, animated stickers that can be used in the Messages app will accompany the award.

The new workout challenge is just the latest in a series of challenges offered by Apple, offering special badges and Messages stickers to Apple Watch owners who complete them.

Apple also will donate $10 to the National Park Foundation each time a purchase is made in the U.S. using Apple Pay on Apple.com, in the Apple Store app, or at an Apple Store, up to a maximum of $1 million.

Apple has made donations of this type to the National Park Foundation annually since 2017. The program runs from today (August 21) through August 27.
