Apple TV+ Kicks Off the Holiday Season with Christmas Content

Apple TV+ has kicked off its holiday programming lineup, with a new musical special starring Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham, “Home for Christmas.” Waddingham sings a variety of classic songs and there just might be cameos from much of the Ted Lasso cast.

The show was recorded earlier this year in front of a live audience at the London Coliseum. Waddingham sings duets with Leslie Odom Jr., Sam Ryder, Phil Dunster, and others. A soundtrack of all the songs is available on Apple Music.

The service has also premiered The Velveteen Rabbit, an adaptation of the classic children’s novel.

While Apple generally debuts high-profile projects like these two shows, the company bumped the premieres up to  Wednesday due to the Thanksgiving holiday in America.

Additional holiday content on Apple TV+ includes a new singalong version of Spirited, starring Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds, as well as the action comedy movie The Family Plan, which premieres December 15.
