New iTunes for Windows 12.13.1 Release Brings Security Fixes

Apple has released an update for iTunes 12.13.1 for Windows. The update brings new security improvements. iTunes for Windows is updated on a regular basis, typically every few months.

The last update for iTunes for Windows was released in March 2023, and included security improvements and “support for new devices.”

Apple’s release notes say there are no notable new features, but that the updated version of iTunes should be installed as soon as possible due to the security improvements

While Apple no longer offers iTunes for the Mac, as it has been replaced on that platform with Finder and the TV app, but Apple continues to provide regular updates for the app on the Windows platform.

iTunes for Windows is free and can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store or from Apple’s website.
