Apple Vision Pro Now Available for Pre-Order – Delivery Dates Already Slip to Mid-March

Apple is now accepting pre-orders for the Cupertino firm’s first spatial headset, the Apple Vision Pro. Orders are live in the U.S. online store (sales are limited to the United States for now).

Apple says the best way to order the Vision Pro is to use the Apple Store app on an iPhone or iPad with Face ID. This is because the ordering process requires a face scan to determine the correctly sized Light Seal and headband for each user.

Customers who wear prescription eyeglasses will need to submit a valid, unexpired prescription from a U.S. eye-care professional to order ZEISS lenses that can be inserted into the headset. The prescription can be uploaded during the ordering process.

At the time of this article delivery dates have already begun to slip, and customers now placing an online pre-order will not receive the headset until around the middle of March. The delivery date is the same for all three storage capacities. The delivery time frame is likely to slip even further as more customers place orders.

The Apple Vision Pro starts at $3,499 (U.S.) with 256GB of storage. Pre-orders for Apple Vision Pro began this morning, Friday, January 19, at 5 a.m. PST, the headset will arrive in stores on Friday, February 2.
