Gamma was developed by Benjamin Stark, aka ZodTTD and features customizable onscreen controller skins, automatic save states, and support for Bluetooth controllers and wired and non-wired keyboards.
The Gamma app offers backing up of game files and save states via third-party cloud syncing services, and also downloads game cover artwork.
Gamma does not require BIOS files to run games, although some users have reported a few issues getting some ROMs to run smoothly. Bug fixes are likely on the way, as Stark has been making retro game emulators on mobile devices for more than 15 years.
Gamma is free to download and contains no iAPs. It should be noted that the Gamma App Store page says that it collects identifiers that can be used to track you, and may collect location and usage data.
