Netflix’s iPhone & iPad App Update Brings New One-Tap Full-Season Download Feature

Netflix has added a new “Season Download” button to its iPhone and iPad apps, enabling users to download an entire season of a series with a single tap for offline viewing, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Previously, only Android users had access to this feature, while iPhone and iPad users had to download each episode of a season individually. Now, iOS and iPadOS users can download a season of a show directly from the show’s display page. The option can be found next to the Share button. Subscribers can continue to manage their downloaded content through the My Netflix tab.

On a show’s display page, look for the button right next to the Share option. Tap it, and the entire season will start downloading automatically  — no more downloading episodes one at a time! Want to keep tabs on your downloads or manage individual episodes? Head to the Downloads section under the My Netflix tab — everything will be there.

Netflix also revealed that the most downloaded seasons of all time on the service are Squid Game Season 1, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer StorySquid Game Season 2,  ONE PIECE, and Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.

The new feature may soothe the irritation Netflix users felt when Netflix recently announced price increases for its subscription tiers.

The new pricing is as follows:

  • Standard with ads: $7.99 (up from $6.99) per month
  • Standard without ads: $17.99 (up from $15.49) per month
  • Premium: $24.99 (up from $22.99) per month

The price increases affect users in the United States, Canada, Portugal and Argentina.
