Ted Lasso Season 4 ‘Will be Announced Shortly,’ Says Show Star Nick Mohammed

Ted Lasso Season 4 ‘Will be Announced Shortly,’ Says Show Star Nick Mohammed

Season four of popular Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso has not yet been officially announced, but according to one star of the show, it will be announced very soon.

Nick Mohammed, the actor who plays Coach Nate on Ted Lasso, teased Ted Lasso’s impending renewal announcement in a video on X.

In the video, he mentions he has to reschedule dates for his Show Pony performances due to a bit of filming coming up that he cannot reschedule.

This is where the teasing comes in:

I cannot say what that filming is, but it will be announced shortly. In the meantime, I would really appreciate if people didn’t speculate as to what they think it might be.

While speaking that final sentence,  Mohammed held up a Ted Lasso ‘Believe’ sign to the camera.

The video post on X also contains the #TedLasso hashtag, so…

We’ve heard several rumors that a fourth season of Ted Lasso season 4 is in the works, but this is the first time we’ve seen an indication when an announcement might be made.

In October 2024, we saw MacStories writer and podcast host Sigmund Judge comment that Ted Lasso will be returning for a fourth season. In a social media post, Judge said he has “confirmed” that pre-production for the hit series will begin in this month in London, England, with London shoots starting sometime in early 2025.

Several “Ted Lasso” stars have teased a fourth season. For example, Brendan Hunt mentions an encounter with Tim Cook when he’s asked about the possibility of a fourth season.

Hunt mentioned that Cook visited the Lasso set one day. When he had a chance to speak in the locker room, he reportedly said, “Thank you for all your hard work, and I sure hope there’s a Season 4.”

Meanwhile, a late August report claimed that Warner Bros. had picked up its series options on Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift. Waddingham was AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Walton. Goldstein was the stern Roy Kent, and Swift played the team’s director of football operation.

The report indicated that Warner Bros. next step will be to start reaching out to SAG-AFTRA members like Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt.
