Apple CEO Tim Cook on Monday teased a new product announcement coming “this week.”
“There’s something in the air,” the teaser says.

The teaser post likely refers to a new MacBook Air, powered by the M4 chip, which is widely expected to be announced as early as sometime this week.
As noted by MacRumors, Apple previously used the same “there’s something in the air” slogan before it announced the original MacBook Air way back in 2008.
Cook posted a similar teaser last month, just ahead of the iPhone 16e announcement. We’ll likely see the announcement of the MacBook Air to be handled in a method similar to the iPhone 16e, which was announced in a press release on the Apple Newsroom website, as well as an accompanying YouTube video announcement.
In addition to the M4 chip, the new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models are expected to boast Thunderbolt 4 ports, a Center Stage camera, longer battery life, and more.
It is possible that Cook isn’t referring to a new MacBook Air and is instead referring to a new iPad Air or a new AirTag (both of which are expected to launch soon.)
Stay tuned, we’ll know for sure very soon.
