iOS 18.4 Brings Visual Intelligence to iPhone 15 Pro

iOS 18.4 Brings Visual Intelligence to iPhone 15 Pro

Apple’s second beta of iOS 18.4, released on Monday, brings Visual Intelligence to the iPhone 15 Pro and ‌iPhone 15‌ Pro Max, both of which did not previously support the feature. Until now, the feature was only available on the iPhone 16 lineup.

As the iPhone 15 Pro and ‌iPhone 15‌ Pro Max both lack a Camera Control button, Visual Intelligence‌ can be activated through the Action Button or through a Control Center option. A new Action Button setting for ‌Visual Intelligence‌, as well as new Control Center buttons, are available for activating the feature. On all ‌iPhone 16‌ models, ‌Visual Intelligence‌ can now be activated through the Action Button, so it is no longer limited to the Camera Control button on the ‌iPhone 16‌, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max.

The Visual Intelligence feature allows owners to use the camera to learn more information about the world around you. The feature can also read text aloud, translate text, summarize text, perform Google searches for items, and more.

Using ‌Visual Intelligence‌ through the Action Button and Control Center was added to iOS for the iPhone 16e, which offers support for ‌Visual Intelligence‌ but also does not have a Camera Control button.

Soon after the release of the iPhone 16e, Apple said that it would bring Visual Intelligence‌ to the iPhone 15 Pro models as well.
