iPhone 17 Pro Could be Available in Same Sky Blue Color Option as MacBook Air

The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max could be available in the same Sky Blue color option that’s available for the MacBook Air, says industry leaker Majin Bu.

Majin Bu said on his website:

Sources close to the supply chain confirm that several iPhone 17 Pro prototypes have been made in various colors, with Sky Blue currently the frontrunner. In prototypes, it reportedly looks even more stunning than the much-loved Sierra Blue of the iPhone 13 Pro, with a brightness and refinement that make it irresistible. Unless Apple changes course at the last minute, this will be the star of the September 2025 launch event.

Apple first offered the early this year on the M4 MacBook Air. The best I can recall, Apple hasn’t launched a special color on the Mac followed up by offering the same color option the iPhone during the same year. However, as pointed out by 9to5Mac, Sky Blue has proven to be a popular color option amongh MacBook Air buyers.

Bu has a decent track record when it comes to Apple devices. Alth9ough, like most leakers, his predictions have proven to be hit-and-miss.

Last year, Bu predicted the iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max’s “Desert Titanium” color option, although he also indicated that the option could be called “Desert Yellow” instead. He described the color as “similar to the gold of the iPhone 14 Pro but deeper and heavier.”

In early 2024, Bu said that the iPhone SE 4 (which was what Apple’s expected fourth-generation budget handset was referred to, although it was called the iPhone 16e when it was actually released) would use the Dynamic Island Apple was offering across its entire iPhone 15 lineup. However, when release, the iPhone 16e continued to sport a notched screen.

As is tradiitonal when considering any rumors, the information above should be taken with a grain of your favorite salt-free seasoning. We won’t know for sure until this September.
