Leaker Says iOS 19 to Support USB-C iPhones in Stage Manager

iOS 19 will provide limited support for Stage Manager on iPhones sporting a USB-C port, says leaker Majin Bu.

Bu’s comments come in a recent blog post where the leaker says when an iPhone with a USB-C port (iPhone 15 models and newer) and running iOS 19 is connected to an external display it will offer a Stage Manger-like interface, allowing multiple apps to be on screen. However, Bu says there might be more limitations compared to Stage Manager on the iPad.

While iPhones with either Lightning or USB-C ports can already be connected to external displays, but offers only basic screen mirroring.

Apple will unveil iOS 19 during the WWDC 2025 keynote address in June, and the first developer beta of the new operating system will be available immediately following the unveiling. The software update will likely be released to the general public in September. Bu did not mention whether the Stage Manager feature will be available in the first bets or if it will be enabled later in the iOS 19 development cycle.

Majin Bu has a hit-and-miss track record when it comes to predictions about Apple products, so we’ll keep an eye out for more information.
