Apple today released iPadOS 17.7.8, a security update that is designed for iPad users who own devices that are not able to install the latest iPadOS 18 update (iOS 18.5). In addition to security fixes, the update also fixes an issue in iPadOS 17.7.7 that prevented some users from being able to log in to their apps.
According to Apple’s release notes, the update includes security fixes.

iPadOS 17.7.8 is compatible with the sixth-generation iPad, 10.5-inch iPad Pro, and second-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro. It can be downloaded by going to the Settings app’s Software Update section on eligible devices.
