Apple Rumored to Offer iPhone 17 in New Purple and Green Colors

Apple is considering new Green and Purple color options for the base model iPhone 17, according to leaker Majin Bu.

In a blog post today, Bu said that while both color options are under consideration, only one color might actually make it to market, with expectations leaning toward Purple being the likely choice for release.

Apple is testing Purple and Green for the iPhone 17 base models, but there’s a chance that only one will be selected for launch, with Purple expected to be the frontrunner. The Purple, previously showcased in my article, is a vibrant and modern hue crafted for those seeking a device with bold personality. The Green, meanwhile, is anticipated to offer a fresh and natural tone, ideal for a minimalist yet striking aesthetic. Applied to an aluminum frame, the chosen color will elevate the iPhone 17’s sleek and elegant design.

The base model iPhone 16 is available in five colors: Ultramarine, Teal, Pink, White, and Black.

Bu has a mixed track record when it comes to Apple rumors.

No matter what color Apple decides to go with, there’s a good chance the new iPhone 17 will be assembled in India, as earlier today we reported that Apple’s main iPhone assembly partner Foxconn is now constructing a new facility in India to manufacture iPhone casings

Apple is expected to unveil the entire iPhone 17 series in September.
