It may be hard to believe, but it wont be long until school is back in session. Are you a student that’s trying to convince your parents you need a new Mac for college (or high school, you could use a Mac in high school)? Apple has come up with a humourous method of convincing them, reports MacRumors.
Apple earlier this week shared what it calls “The Parent Presentation,” which is designed to explain why a Mac is a useful tool in school. The customizable presentation contains 81-slides (that’s a lot of convoncing) and is available in PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides formats. You can download the template here, fill in your name and some other important details, and edits the presentation to your liking.
The presentation includes both humorous reasons to buy a Mac, as well as several real reasons why a Mac is best for student’s, citing things like the portability of the MacBook Air.
Apple had shared a YouTube video by comedian Martin Herlihy in which he showed a group of high school students to best use the presentation, but that video has since been set to private.
Apple kicked off its Back to School sales promotion earlier this week. The promotion offers eligible students, educators, and parents free accessories worth up to $199 when purchasing select Mac and iPad models through September 30. So you can score a set of AirPods, a Magic Mouse or Magic Keyboard, and Apple Pencil Pro, and other accessories.
A 10% discount on select products is also available. The offer is available through September 30, 2025. Full terms and conditions are available on Apple’s education store.
