Apple Music Streaming Servers Suffering 3rd Major Outage in Two Months

If you’re having issues with the Apple Music app today, don’t feel like you’re singing solo. The service’s services are experiencing its third major outage in two months.

As first spotted by 9to5Mac, Apple’s System Status page is reporting an Apple Music “Outage” since 11:40 a.m. Eastern Time. While Apple says that only “some users are affected,” the red alert triangle indicates the outage could be a bit more serious than Apple is saying.

As noted by iDropNewsDowndetector has shown a spike in outage reports for the service over the past few hours. Currently, Downdetector says there have been only 313 reports about the outage. However, most users that are experiencing issues won’t report it to the site, meaning the actual number of affected users is likely much higher.

Apple Music has been hit by an unusual number of outages over the past few months, including two in April within only days of each other.
