Sold-Out iPhone Accessibility-Minded MagSafe Grip Returns to the Apple Store in Three New Colors

Apple has announced return of the Hikawa Phone Grip and Stand, an iPhone accessory designed with accessibility in mind. New color options include Orange SwirlGlow Blue, and Speckled Stone. The accessory sold out almost immediately the first time it was made available.

The grip uses magnets to securely snap onto any iPhone with MagSafe. The grip is designed to be removed with ease, and can double as a stand boasting two different viewing angles, in both vertical and horizontal orientations.

The design process involved direct input from individuals with disabilities affecting muscle strength, dexterity, and hand control.

The Hikawa Phone Grip and Stand is $54.95 and can now be ordered from Apple’s online store in the U.S. Apple Store Pickup is currently unavailable. At the time of this writing, Apple’s online store in the U.S. is currently showing mid-June delivery and in-store availability estimates for the grip, so there will be a one-month wait. Hopefully, there will be a more ample supply of the accessory this time around.

The Hikawa website also sells a range of rather unusual high-end iPhone cases, if that’s what you’re into.
