New AirPods 4, AirPods Pro 2, and AirPods Pro 3 Beta Firmware With iOS 27 Features Now Available to Developers

Apple has released new beta firmware for the AirPods 4, AirPods Pro 2, and AirPods Pro 3. The firmware is only available to developers at the current time, and it has a build number of 9A5292e.

The beta firmware likely includes updates to make the AirPods compatible with the new AirPods interface and support for custom EQ Apple is adding in iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 Golden Gate. AirPods are also compatible with the new Siri AI.

Since ‌iOS 26‌, ‌iPadOS 26‌, and macOS Tahoe, Apple has added a beta firmware update installation option in the AirPods settings interface when there are AirPods connected to an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Developers can use the beta option to turn on beta downloads.
