Strings of code discovered in the first developer beta of iOS 27 indicate that Siri AI may remind users to take a break from time-to-time, while also reminding them that they aren’t a real person, according to a MacRumors report.
The strings of code mention a “Take a Break Message,” saying: “You’ve been in this conversation for [n] hours – consider taking a break. Siri is not a person, but will be here when you’re ready to continue.”
WHile there are already screen tools available that remind users to take a break after a set amount of time, The Siri AI reminders appear to be part of Apple’s plan to define Siri AI as a tool, not a companion.
It is not yet clear how Apple would trigger the reminder, or the default amount of time that would need to pass to trigger it. The company could be planning to consider conversation length, as well as other signals to determine when to trigger the message.
