Apple today increased the price of Apple Music and some Apple One subscription bundles. An individual Apple Music subscription in the US is now $11.99 per month, up from $10.99 per month. The price of the Apple Music Family subscription rose from $16.99 to $19.99. Student also rose by $1, and is now priced at $6.99.
While the price of an individual Apple One plans remained the same, the Family and Premiere plans are now $2 more expensive. The Family plan is now $27.95 per month and the Premier plan is $39.95 per month.
In the UK, the Individual plan rose to £11.99 from £10.99 and the Family plan to £19.99 from £16.99.
In Europe, the Individual plan rose to €11.99 from €10.99, the Family plan to €19.99 from €16.99 and the Student plan to €6.99.
Apple has also raised prices in Brazil.
The new pricing took effect today (July 17), and marks the first increase to Apple Music‘s prices since October 2022.
New subscribers to Apple Music will pay the new prices immediately, while existing subscribers are typically moved to them at their next billing cycle after being notified by Apple.
Apple told Music Business Worldwide that it was raising prices due to the “result of rising licensing costs.”
