macOS Tahoe 26.6.1 Now Available – Brings Security Fixes

Apple today released macOS Tahoe 26.6.1, an update to its current ‌macOS Tahoe‌ operating system. ‌macOS Tahoe‌ 26.6.1 comes a bit more than a week after the release of macOS Tahoe 26.6.

Mac users can download the macOS Tahoe 26.6 update by using the Software Update section of the System Settings app.

According to Apple’s security support document, ‌macOS Tahoe‌ 26.6.1 fixes a vulnerability that could allow an attacker to authenticate to Screen Sharing without valid credentials.

Available for: macOS Tahoe

Impact: An attacker on the network may be able to authenticate to Screen Sharing without valid credentials

Description: An authentication issue was addressed with improved state management.

Apple also released updates for macOS Sonoma 14.8.9 and macOS Sequoia 15.7.9, both offer the same fix.
